Lascom eSecurity - Wellington NZ
Lascom NZ Ltd provide market leading e-Security solutions including disk & media encryption, data at rest protection, cross domain, multi-level and secure remote access that can be configured to the individual needs of your organisation.
Their website needed updating and Lascom were looking for something more sophisticated and have broad visual and technical appeal to a specific security minded technical target market wanting trusted solutions and leading esecurity brands.
Lascom needed a content management system they could easily use to update their website, the trick was to make it work as broad framework for a multitude of different products but be robust enough to hold alot of data including white papers and technical specifications.
They now have total credibility in the NZ e-Security sales market and their worldwide suppliers are happy they have a New Zealand web presence that works well. We are hoping to report major search engine success under e-Security New Zealand!
This was the second website undertaken for Lascom, we also developed the Lascom Acoustics website to provide information and sales for telephone headsets and voice recording software and equipment in New Zealand.
Stetson Group - Wellington NZ
Stewart and Tricia Macperhson produce and tour on show both in New Zealand and worldwide. Their goal is always to have the best show on the stage at every performance – which entails looking after a tour in great detail.
Their old website was well out of date and their new website needed to be able to sell tickets, update shows, generate enquires about stage equipment for hire and that was just to start with!
They knew their branding was not the most polished, but they had been operating since 1973 and many people knew and trusted the Stetson logo.
They were delighted with the design (as we are - thank you Rich - our wonderful senior designer!) as it represented them in a very classic but unique way.
Once we complete the site and trained them on how to use their custom built user interface to manage shows, equipment for hire and shop items for sale, they were very happy with the hard work from our team.
Capital City Ford - Wellington NZ
Capital City Ford is Wellington’s flagship new ford vehicles and used ford car and ford vehicles dealership with its own on-site service area and fully qualified mechanics.
Its website needed updating and Capital City Ford were looking for something more sophisticated than the current one it had. It had to be easy for customers to navigate, have broad visual appeal and deliver results by ranking on page 1 in search engines under “used ford nz”
Capital City Motors Ltd also own the franchise for the Mazda brand in Wellington and wanted the brands treated separately but customers still being aware of them owning both dealerships.
We worked closely with them on this project to tailor a look that had broad appeal to new customers without alienating Ford’s traditional customers by including references to Ford’s racing heritage pedigree.
We helped separate out the brands within the database so that a customer looking for a used Ford vehicle did not get confused by looking at Mazda vehicles too.
We now have their current search engine ranking, as promised, they are on page 1 under “used ford nz” ... success, as promised!
Capital City Mazda - Wellington NZ

Obviously it had to deliver results by ranking on page 1 in search engines under “used mazda nz”
Mid project, expansion plans fell into place with Capital City Mazda purchasing the Mazda dealership for Kapiti completing the greater Wellington franchise. We ensured this was included on its site so that when its site went live it was totally up to date!
We now have their current search engine ranking, as promised, they are on page 1 under “used mazda nz”. What's more is that they are on Page 1 under "mazda nz" ... extra sweet success!
Southbank Estate - premium New Zealand Wine producer
Southbank Estate exports a significant amount of its wines to a number of countries overseas and wanted to update its website.
We were called in to design a stunning showpiece to the New Zealand wine brand, giving the end consumer a sense of where its wines come from and how they are made.
www.southbankwine.com also incorporates an awards section that the client can update as more wine medals and accolades come in to save the client time in dealing with press enquiries.

Long Lookout Gardens - Luxury Nelson Bed and Breakfast Accommodation Defined
The upgrade to the web site for Long Lookout Gardens needed to reflect the luxury and grandeur of Nelson's premier historic bed and breakfast accommodation.
Extensive use of photos was used to draw the customer in and let them see first hand how luxurious the surroundings are with total privacy.
Reduced to Clear - NZ's first e-grocer and another amazing ecommerce website by Altered Ego Design!
What a design challenge! How to make a shop that looked like "cardboard city" fun and engaging! Altered Ego Design's design team took up the challenge and had an absolute blast working with the team at Reduced to Clear.
The result? A super engaging e-commerce website that created from scratch and live within 5 weeks! Some miracles are easier to perform than others ... it may have helped that Reduced to Clear plied us with chocolate to endure those super late nights!
Lascom Acoustics - Leading Supplier in Telephone Headsets
Lascom Acoustics is a leading supplier in telephones, telephone headsets for call centres and voice recording equipment. They approached us about redeveloping their website to be more prominent in search engines.
Lascom Acoustics specialise in finding a bluetooth or wireless headset solution to fit your organisations needs.

Central Markets - 2nd Hand Dealers Wellington NZ
A change in company ownership allowed Central Markets, a well established New Zealand second hand dealer and licenced auctioneers, to explore online exposure as a means of increasing their business.
The obviously took note of Seth Godin's marketing advice when he said "90% of your sales will come from word of mouth or digital promotion by 2011"
Within a few weeks of the website going live, they had their first phone call enquiry.

Copthorne Marlborough Hotel - Boutique Blenheim Hotel
When the building was refitted from a backpackers to a boutique hotel, the owners wanted a completely new look to the interior reflecting the idyllic paradise Blenheim setting and we reflected this pacific theme in the website.
When the new owners took over this hotel, they wanted to ensure that they continued the same return on investment.

Peru Trekking Climbing reaches high altitudes in Search Engines
Anne is head of the New Zealand branch for Peruvian Andes Adventures. She came to us with the existing firm's website not working and we suggested a search engine friendly redesign.
Just wanted to let you know that in the last week the email traffic from the web has gone crazy. I've had 2 more groups confirmed treks via the site and last night had people from Te Anau ring me asking for info!!"

Just wanted to let you know that the changes you made to the web seem
to be having some effect and people are obviously interested. Am
receiving about 5 new inquiries a week at the moment, which is pretty
good since there are literally hundreds of agencies in either Peru or
overseas offering treks to Huaraz.
Also, I just counted and I have 22 clients booked from the web for 2007,
which is also pretty good.

Ninness Funeral Home had an excellent reputation in the Wellington community for the care and support they give their customers.
With a change in directors came business growth and their old website needed attention. As highly qualified directors in a sensitive profession, they wanted a new design that reflected that and involved their customers more. We created a website that is professional and elegant without losing the genuine sincerity and a warm welcome that Ninness give to their customers.
We also added an e-commerce component as flowers for the family are able to be purchased online.

Fernbird - Certified Fairtrade and Certified Organic Clothing and Eco Living Store
Fernbird’s Organic and Eco Living company was really taking off. Its old e-commerce website wasn't working as well as it should and it was having nightmares sorting things out with no support from the old supplier when the website frequently crashed.
Obviously it was imperative that Fernbird's website was stable but Fernbird wanted more from its website. It had to keep pace with its growing company and present a more upmarket face to its online shop which was its only outlet.
So we gave the site a facelift mindful of not including products into the design as this could date it easily. We created a highly robust e-store ensuring its customers feel safer shopping online.
We also gave Fernbird some search engine advice as it is very capable computer-wise and wanted to create more awareness around eco and organic living to increase its sales.
The new site is looking fantastic! I can update it myself easier than I could my old one and I really love my newsletter giving me a spam rejection rating so I can alter it before I send it. You and your team are doing a great job Anita, we really appreciate it."

River Stones Gallery is a Nelson Art Gallery showcasing contemporary New Zealand art. Paintings, jewellery, pottery and art glass are featured in this rustic gallery in the Richmond region. Works by established artists such as Phill Krammer - contemporary NZ Paintings, Dean Hawkins - contemporary NZ jewellery, Hans Baeur, Daryl Fagence, David Thurston and more!
Wellington Plastic Surgery Institute
For reconstructive or cosmetic plastic surgery by reputable plastic surgeons in Wellington, NZ.
Wellington Plastic Surgery Institute wanted the institute's website to give confidence to their new and repeat patients and really back them up as professionals in their field of expertise.
The design challenge we faced was that we had to express its skill and excellence and its methods in ways that didn't require "before and after" photographs of patients as Wellington Plastic Surgery Institute has a strict policy protecting patient privacy.
We used illustration to achieve their aim of a fantastic looking site without the need for bad taste before and after shots!
Avinki
Avinki is an organisation representing New Zealand Original Art worldwide. This website was created as a special platform for their launch at the international showcase at the Hong Kong Focus Centre in 2008. They wanted a website that represented New Zealand in a unique and original way. They wanted it in 3 weeks as they had to be in Hong Kong so we delivered - on all fronts!

Branding and Logo Identity, Corporate Stationery and a new website all donated in a good cause!
HuHa was known as the Pukuratahi Animal Sanctuary. It take all the unadoptables from the SPCA as well as other rescued animals and retrain and rehome or give them a loving home at the sanctuary for life. An amazing place, and an amazing charitable organisation, we wanted to give HuHa a higher profile so it can gain sponsorship funding to cope with more abused and neglected animals and hold education programs to wipe out abuse and neglect.
