Webmail for websites hosted by Altered Ego Design
Please note: This only allows you to access new emails, not old emails as this is a temporary holding space until your computer logs in and downloads from this space onto your PC.
You can access your web mail anywhere in the world providing the computer is connected to the internet.
To do this, click type
http://www.yourwebsiteaddress.co.nz/webmail
Then enter your full email address for your username eg info@ourwebsiteaddress.co.nz and then your password in the password box.
Then choose Hoard Mail and it should take you into the calander/inbox view. You just need to click on the email section to get to your inbox.
Easy peasy!
Remember that if you send any emails from webmail, you'll need to cc or bcc a copy to yourself if you wanted a record of what was sent.
Email Settings Incoming & Outgoing Mail Servers for setting up your email accounts
Your incoming mail server is normally routed to your domain name. If your domain is mycompany.co.nz, then your incoming mail server would be mail.mycompany.co.nz.
Outgoing Mail Server
Normally, your outgoing mail server is the outgoing server of the ISP that you're connected through. For example, if your connected through Xtra, then your outgoing mail server would be smtp.xtra.co.nz.
If you've a Vodafone Vodum customer, you'll need to use smtp2.vodafone.co.nz
If you're a Telecom T stick customer, there are known issues for sending emails. We've been successful in sending if we change the outgoing mail address to mail.yourdomainname.co.nz (obviously changing the yourdomainname part to your actual domain name - eg alteredegodesign and if you've got a .com or a .org domain suffix, replace the .co.nz with this.)
Microsoft Office 2000 cannot open new file

Here is the Microsoft update for those using older versions of MS Office Software and want to be able to open .dox or .docx files - it's a simple download and that fixes it! Brilliant we say - just brilliant!
