Just wanted to let you know that the changes you made to the web seem to be having some effect and people are obviously interested.
Am receiving about 5 new inquiries a week at the moment, which is pretty good, since there are literally hundreds of agencies in either Peru or overseas offering treks to Huaraz.

- Define what goals you want to achieve from your website and be clear about them when you talk to your website designer/developer. This helps all parties be clear about the requirements and keeps the project focused and on track.
- If you are looking for specific requirements, check their credentials! Have they done work in this field before? Are they experienced with these systems - eg if you want e-commerce have they created e-commerce websites beforehand? If your business is important to you, you do not want to be an inexperienced web site designer's experiment! It ends up costing you too much in the end.
- Can you understand them or are they speaking "geek-speak"? Do they listen to you? If you can't communicate properly then it may be difficult for you to get exactly what you want on the project and it could end up being extremely stressful.
- How do they charge and what do they charge for? You should expect a company to be up front with an estimated price before they even start your project. Make sure the project fee includes everything you want as you don't want to find out you think you're getting the full deal when it only includes the design side of things and no search engine submission, website hosting etc.
- What after-care support do they provide you with? There may be times when you will need some help. Do they have the capacity to do this when you need it, or is it just a one person operation servicing many clients?
- What is their website design process and how long will it take? Your chosen provider should give you an estimated project timetable and written work-in-progress reports. Does this fit with your goals?
- What industry standards do they design to? If the website designer does not design to World Wide Web Consortium standards, then steer clear of them. On the better website designer's sites you will see this logo
which is your quality assurance guarantee. - Do they cover the complete service providing copywriters, photographers and other professionals to help you achieve the best from your website? If they only provide you with design and nothing else then you will have to spend time shopping around for someone else who can fill in the missing parts. Do you have the time for this and what effect will this incohesion have on your end result? Often it's better to find a provider that can deliver the full power of the web using just that one company.
- Check out their portfolio. Do you like their design style - is it professional? You are aiming to build trust with your customers online and one way to establish credibility is to have a professionally designed website.
- If search engines are important to you do a search for website companies on the internet.
